This bike is not mint.  It’s a 33 year old motorcycle, so you should expect some cosmetic challenges.

Having said that, it’s in very good shape, and mechanically excelent.  The suspension, jetting, brakes, lighting, horn, and seat have been significantly upgraded.

The Hawk GT is a bit of a cult bike for its ahead-of-its-time styling, telepathic handling, and torquey motor.  Because of its cult status there’s lots of resources on the net available, including hawkgtforum.com, hawkworks.net, and a facebook group.

It’s not a rocketship. It probably puts out 50-55 horsepower with its current mods, that’s not very much by modern standards, but the torque curve is so flat and starts low, so it rides like a larger displacement bike.  It’ll go plenty fast to get you into trouble, and combined with its handling it’ll hold its own at the track.  I ride my other Hawk on the track and I’m able to keep up with faster bikes with riders of similar skill level.
