This is 3/4" 2:1 ratio shrink wrap. It took a little effort to get it over the
knob at the end of the lever, but it wasn't hard. If the ball was whole (not
scraped down) it would have been a little harder, but not much. The shrink wrap
has some flex.
If the lever knob was much larger I'd use 1" 3:1 ratio shrink wrap. I heated this over the stove, but a heat gun or torch or even a match or candle would do the trick. Just be careful not to burn it. I got this in a sample pack from TechFlex.com, but they sell through other places too. It comes in a wide range of colors. Here's TechFlex's page on their heat-shrink tubing. |
