Here's some pictures of it mounted (poorly) on an SV. Read below to see the problems I'm having:

The problem with using the Easy-Pull on a street bike is that lots of street bikes have a bent tube at the clutch lever end of the cable to guide it gracefully away from the lever. The Easy-Pull doesn't have much cable on the lever side, so it doesn't bend easily, and you've got the stock bend in the cable to account for.

In this case it seemed like it was going to work, it fit gracefully enough for a hack, and the lever pull appeared to be reduced.

However, it wasn't consistant through the range of motion of the bars. At one extreme it worked fine, at the other it felt like it was binding. My goal here was two fold, first to increase the friction zone, so it'd be easier to feather the somewhat binary SV clutch, and second, to reduce the strength required. That binding negated both my goals.

Furthermore, the length added to the cable (between 5" and 5.5" depending on the positions of the adjusting barrels) meant there was a fairly good deal of extra cable sticking out of the side of the bike (see the third picture).

These problems would be even worse if I didn't have the bar risers installed.

It seems to me that for it to work right you'd need to use a custom cable, one that doesn't have the bend and is shorter by about 6 inches, or to use a shorter cable with the bend, and mount the Easy-Pull at the engine end of the cable. The problem with that is the ferules. The Easy-Pull is expecting barrel type ferules. The engine end of the cable is a ... button type. Or whatever it's called. Half of this isn't a problem realy, the barrel can be easiily removed from the Easy-Pull leaving only the inner bit which looks like it'll work fine. The problem is that the end of the stock cable doens't have a barrel end, so it'd need one attached, or a custom cable, or a sleeve like thing to make it fit properly.
