...from a friend... I went up to the local coffee shop to buy a latte. The cross walk at the light is equiped with sound devices to let blind people know when it is time to cross. As I crossed with Kate i heard the familiar "beep, beep". As I approached the other side I saw the distinctive red hand signal that the light had changed. And yet the "beep beep" kept going. What gives? I turned back and saw in a tree directly above the light signal a mockingbird repeating the "beep beep". And I immediately thought to myself, "now that is an accident waiting to happen!"
