When the Pope most recently came to visit the United States he was met at the airport by a chauffeur and a limo. The Pope looked at the limo and thought, “That’s a big American car.” When they were on their way The Pope noticed how powerful and smooth the car was on these big American roads. He leaned forward to the driver and said, “I’ve never driven a big American car on Big American roads. Do you think it would be all right if I drove for a while?”
The driver allowed this, who was he to say “no” to the pope.
The Pope started driving, and pretty soon they were really speeding down the highway, and a cop pulled them over.
When the cop saw who was driving he got kinda nervous and went back to his cruiser and called-in to the station.
“I’ve got a problem, I just pulled over someone really important.”
“How important is this person?” the station replied, “did you pull over the chief?”
“No, way more important than that.”
“Well, did you pull over the mayor?”
“No, much more important than that.”
“you didn’t pull over the governor, did you?”
“no, even more important than that.”
“Well, who did you pull over?”
“I don’t know who he is, but his chauffeur is the Pope.”
