These tires have never been used at all, but are not new. The date codes say the rear was manufactured 14th week of 1996, the front the 41st week of 1994.
They have been stored in my basement (climate controlled) for as long as I've had them.
The surface feels a little slick, but just under the surface feels much better. (I scraped a bit of the surface off with a file) I believe that once these tires are scrubbed in they'll be plenty sticky.
I had some of these on my Hawk GT and liked the turn-in feel a lot. I never had any problems with traction. I'm not using them because although they fit, the 120 width front is just too wide for the Hawk's 2.5" wide rim.
These are not tires you'd want to take to the racetrack.
However, they've got a very nice on/off road tread pattern that will handle sand and gravel well. They'd be good for commuting, touring, or the occasional spirited ride on twisty country roads. Shipping will be by whatever means you want (within reason). I prefer FedEx ground but UPS or USPS or whoever will take them is fine with me. Your shipping charge is what they charge me only, no add-ons.
I can bind them together as a single package or ship them individually. The rear is between 23" and 24" in diameter, so it might trigger the "oversize package" fee from the shipper. Figure 22 lbs from 02451
