2001 GSX-R600 for sale

Asking $1,500, or make me a reasonable offer.

The body panels are scratched and mismatched (I got them that way from eBay) but they're solid.

I've been using it as a track/street bike (totally street legal) but it doesn't fit me very well, so it has to go so I can get something that fits better.

This is a solid track or street bike for anyone who doesn't need their bike to be pretty, they just want it to work well. It could be pretty with some quality time with sandpaper and a bunch of rattle-can spraypaint, but it's not now.

Good:

• forks revalved with digressive preloaded compression shim stack (I have the specs)
• RaceTech'd shock (not installed)
• nearly new Bridgestone S20 tires (maybe 400 miles on them)
• DID X-ring chain and sprockets in great shape
• new front and rear wheel bearings a couple years ago
• stored indoors since I got it
• new brake piston dust and oil seals and EBC HH pads (brakes are scary good)
• frame sliders that actually mount to the engine bolts, not cosmetic nonsense
• swingarm spools
• spare brake lever, brake pedal, shift pedal, clutch lever (haven't needed them!)
• Battery is strong, not very old, always stored on a trickle/maintenance charger
• runs really well
• Clean title (but see below)

• It's kinda ugly. There's marks where stickers have been removed, the tank is dented a bit (previous owner) the bodywork is from several different bikes (eBay finds) I might give it a paint job over the winter.
• It has a 100% legal, insurable, registerable, but weird, state assigned VIN. I have all the paperwork to show this.
• exhaust from a GSX-R1000 (I have no idea why. It came to me that way. It works just fine)
• it's been crashed, but not by me.
